SQL Database Developer

* Create, modify and review stored procedures, and SQL Scripts, database functions, and triggers
* Take ownership of identification and implementation of performance and maintenance improvements for the current database design and application interactions.
* Constantly seeking ways to re-factor code by tuning and optimizing queries
* Work with Programmer Analysts and Business Analysts to gather requirements and implement changes to the databases as required
* Work with QA team to help create test cases.
* Create new strategies and processes to help with the deployment and maintenance of databases.
* Expert knowledge and extensive experience with building, administering, and maintaining Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, and SQL Server internals.
* Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
* Technically fluent in database programming languages, including SQL and PL/SQL .

Mandatory skills (MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008) :

1. Design Database schemas for high performance, high availability database
2. Skills in designing databases for heavy traffic applications
3. Create and maintain Database Instances
4. Development and optimization of SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers,  User defined functions,  Queries
5. Performance tuning
6. Data Migration (between different databases ex.MySQL and MS-SQL Server)

Desired skills:

1. MS-SQL Server Analysis services (SSAS)
2. SSIS

Experience: 4+ years in MS-SQL Server

Note: Experience on MySQL is an added advantage.
